One paragraph

Metta is a state of universal goodwill or loving-kindness, and practices that cultivate it have been linked to benefits for mood, social connection, self-compassion, and stress. Metta meditation trains that state directly: start with the felt wish for well-being, aim it toward yourself, then expand it toward loved ones, strangers, difficult people, and eventually all beings. The practice is to make universal goodwill strong and wide enough that it becomes a stable foundation you can return to all day.
